Bob's smile was a great way to start the work day! Our schedules frequently aligned so that as I pulled in to the office parking lot, he was on a break outside. He made me smile and laugh so many mornings. I will always think of Bob every morning and I will always smile as I pass where he would be standing. He has given so many of us the wonderful gift of laughter & smiles, and I hope to pay it forward to everyone I pass on his corner.

Carol, Mike, Jaime, Joey - I was saddened to learn of Bob's passing. While I did not know him well, I've known all of you for some time now, even though it's been awhile since our paths have met. My heartfelt sympathies to all of you through this very difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day. I hope that helps in some small way.

I didn't know him like most. We worked in the same building for different companies. Our lives collimated in informal and unscheduled happenchance meetings outside the backdoor of our building on a small section of concrete to have a smoke. These were brief slices of time that when stitched together didn't add up to very much. But the minutes we spent together were rich in conversation. We'd share stories of our youth (that we hoped our sons would never learn about or repeat), family, home repairs, politics, work, jokes and just life in general. There were others that befriended Bob. Those from other companies who would leave their cubicles to get some sun and stretch their backs and complain about their situation. Bob would state "Friday is coming".
On 2 SEP, Bob and I crossed paths several times. When he arrived, I joked about his bag lunch - "Are you on a diet or something". He said no and started laughing. I could hear him laughing as the doors to the elevator closed. It was a typical day. When we last spent one of those brief moments together, I shared a joke that my Scottish grandmother had sent me about a bagpiper. He was in stitches. I am missing my friend dearly. My condolences to his family, coworkers and all those who have crossed his path.

I knew Mr. Kinney almost my whole life. His son Jamie and I have been best friends since kindergarten. I will always remember how he treated me like a 4th son, I was always welcome wheather it be a local Cannons game or a trip up to Wintergreen for some Skiing. Mr. Kinney was good man and I will miss him dearly. He loved his family so much and would do anythign for them. I could never thank the Kinney's enough for everything they have done for me. Mrs. Kinney, Michael, James, Joseph, and Diesel, love you

We will miss Bob so much! We have been so lucky to know him for over twenty years. He lived for his family. Carol was the love of his life. He was so proud of the men his sons have become. Bob funny and warm! He was always a loyal friend you could count on if you needed something. Our hearts go out to Carol, Mike, Jamie and Joe.
