Obituary of Elisabeth Ferratt Mullen

Elisabeth F. Mullen, 72, of Reston, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
Elisabeth was born in Dallas, TX and was the daughter of Thomas Littelle and Elisabeth Fentress Ferratt. She was graduated from Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1960. She received a B.A. degree from Hollins University and her Ph.D. degree in Astronomy from the University of Florida.
She was CEO of a software development company in the 70's and 80's, a national officer in the Association for Women in Computing, a minister of Healing in the Rays of Healing Church, and a clinical Hypnotherapist, a faithful member of United Christian Parish for many years. She was an active participant in the UCP Issues Class
She was pre-deceased by her former husband Joseph Mathew Mullen and sister, Anne Ferratt Robertson. She is survived by another sister, Mary Ellen Ferratt Yoder and her husband, Richard. She is also survived by a nephew, Thomas Therit Robertson and a cousin, Norman Charles Creech and his wife, Sue. Elisabeth was a fun loving person who will be missed by all those around her.
A celebration of her life will be held at United Christian Parish, 11508 North Shore Drive, Reston, VA 20190, on Wednesday, September 17th at 2PM. Burial will be private at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk, Virginia. Adams-Green Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Christian Parish, or Hollins University, 7916 Williamson Road, Roanoke, Virginia 24019.
