Judy hired me as her front office secretary in charge of supplies and attendance when we opened Fox Mill Elementary. Later I became her secretary - what a time we had "building a dream" at Fox Mill. We even had our own daily student radio show and parents worked together to build a student playground. Judy was so much fun to work with - she loved her teachers and students. No one worked harder to develop a respectful atmosphere for all of our Fox Mill employees - everyone was encouraged to do their best and they did. She definitely loved the ocean and the beach - Judy was a very special lady.....she will be missed....Rest in Peace, Judy. love, Rita If there is a particular organization she preferred please let me know as I'd like to make a donation in her name.

When I interviewed for a teaching position with Judy in 1979 at the brand new Fox Mill Elementary School, I noticed that she had a yellow phone in her office. This was at a time when every school had black phones and I commented on that to her. I remember that she said, "but yellow is such a cheerful color!" In that moment I realized that I really wanted to teach in that school where a principal would choose to have bright cheerful colors instead of the status quo. She hired me and my teaching career changed because of her. I realized because of Judy that you do not have to stand for the status quo, you can reach for the stars.

Hello, I am so sorry for your loss. I was drawn to the obituary of Ms. Nash that appeared in the newspaper today because I have the same last name and, lo, and behold, she taught at Hybla Valley Elementary during the time that I attended (1966-1972, and my cousin was the librarian there at that time and for a long time afterward). I don't remember Ms. Nash but still feel compelled to offer comfort from the scriptures to her loved ones. Romans 5:12 - explains why we die Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10 - tells us the state of the dead John 5:28, 29 - there is going to be a resurrection of those lost to death Job 14:13, 14, 15 - God is eager to resurrect those lost to death Psalm 37:9, 10, 11, 29 - where the resurrection for most people will take place, right here on earth (also Matthew 5:5) Revelation 21:4 - In the near future, death will be done away with forever. Again, I hope this will bring you comfort.
