Stewart and I went all through PS 16 and Halsted in Yonkers, NY. We did a lot of 'growing up' at each others houses. (And he had the best collection of GI Joes that I'd ever seen!) My prayers and thoughts are with Stewart's children and very much with Diane, Peter and his Mom. 'Eternal rest grant unto him and may perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. On behalf of the Blute family we'd like to extend our deepest sympathies to Mrs Chase, Diane and Stew's children, Madeline & Sam. We were shocked and saddened to hear that Stew had passed away. Growing up in Yonkers in the 70's/80's, Stew's sharp wit and great sense of comic timing provided us with lots of great laughs and memories. We will always remember Stew's love of sports, especially Nighthawks softball, love of cars ( which I'm sure he got from his Dad) but most of all his thoughtfulness and his love of friends. Stew was a true gentlemen. Stew - rest in peace. May God welcome you home.
