Obituary of Mary Louise Ahmad

Mary, beloved mother of Nassir Ahmad, and "Granny Mary" to Violet and Molly Elrod, her granddaughters, died suddenly in her home on December 17, 2014. She was the daughter of Violet and Wilbur Eugene Skipper (deceased). She was the third of ten children. Judy, Wilbur Jr., Thelma Skipper Ashman, and Samuel Skipper all preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Nassir and his wife Christine Elrod, their two children Violet and Molly Elrod, as well as her remaining siblings Esther Skipper Brockert, Ruth Skipper Noesner, Herbert Skipper, David Skipper, and Daniel Skipper, as well as many nieces and nephews and greats, numbering about 40. Mary had lived in Virginia since graduating high school in 1964. She had many jobs during that time but had recently retired from Fairfax School District and of course her part-time job at Giant supermarket. Memorial to be at Amphora Restaurant, 1151 Elden St. Herndon, VA 20170, Sunday 12/21, 12-3pm. Donations may be made to American Diabetes Assoc., American Red Cross, and of course Mary's former employer National Wildlife Foundation in lieu of flowers.
