Joshua fondly called as "Josh" - first glowing little star of our family. Though we were miles apart, I remember the day I held him in my arms as a one year old boy with beautiful eyes like his mom, curly hair like his dad and quiet smile. He grew up in India for a year and so... a golden period for my mom, dad & brother with everlasting memories. My mom mixes apple and biscuit - "Golden Cow" from Srilanka, which is the tastiest food I have ever tasted. Whenever I go to Trichy, I steal the biscuits because of the taste, flavor etc and get scoldings... scoldings that I still hear in the deep of my heart.
Once he drew paintings on my 5 month old daughter's stomach thinking she will react but she never... they had mutual understanding as cousins. I still remember the day he asked his mom, whether my daughter could be his girl friend.
Even as a small kid at the age of 3 to 4, his paintings were the finest and meaningful. He had the passion to draw and play guitar. His enthusiasm for electronics and the way he plays games definitely came from his father. Many a times I have wondered how he plays those games with so much ease which I always fail...
Josh was a dedicated brother. Even his last thought was to "Take care of little Iniya..."
Now, I really wonder Lord God wanted "Josh" to be with him to make more meaning to the heavenly world.
Like, it is said in Job 1:21 - The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away.
I know my dear Josh is physically not with us but is present EVERYWHERE...

Dear Joshua, You are in our prayers. Ambi and Vinitha, be strong and be assured of our prayers. Take strenght from these words of Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Josh, Like a sparkling candle you have brightened the lives of your family and friends around you with your big smile and with your thoughtful little deeds... While none of us can fathom why this light is removed from our midst, we take solace that you are at a better place... Watch over your family, strengthen and bond them, be their guardian angel...You will always be remembered and missed by our family...

Josh the last we saw of you was of you crying when you all had to leave for the airport. Throughout the few weeks that you stayed with us at Chennai you never showed your emotions. But we saw the love you had for us and that you would miss us all when we saw you crying that night. Buddy, it's now you who have left us crying as we miss you forever! Rest in peace Josh! Dear Ambi na and Vinitha anni, May God give you strength in this moment.

Dear Joshua,
I interacted almost every day with your mom since many years and the most common word uttered by her was your name. you are everything to your family and I am sure you are watching over them. Your smile stays in my mind whenever I think about you. We are still trying to understand this mysterious game of god, we might never understand. Our thoughts will always remain with you and your memories will be cherished forever.

You touched all our lives so positively in your very short stay with us. I still remember your dazzling smile and glittering eyes when we saw you the first time in your parents arms and every time after that.
We cannot fathom the reasons why God chose to act this way but your memories will last forever with us.

Garrett Linn & Family posted a condolence
Tuesday, December 30, 2014
Garrett was a classmate of Josh's. I remember that he told me there was a new boy in class. He said that he was a nice boy, a little quiet (since he was new to the school) and shared with me that everyone was going out of their way to make him feel welcome. After sharing the news of his passing, Garrett said, "I don't understand...he looked so healthy and played football with us?" I explained that as parents, we do our best to keep our children healthy and safe, and that sometimes we can't control the circumstances. And I also shared with him that NO parent should ever see their child pass away. So for that, my heart breaks for you and I, we, offer our deepest condolences. I hope that there is a day, when you're able to soak in the memories, that you shared with your beautiful son.
