Linda Hoff, a long time resident of Herndon, passed away Jan 26, 2015 while in hospice care at her home. She was born to the late Charles and Doreen Hoffman on May 10, 1946, in Pasadena, California, and was raised in Atlanta, GA. Linda graduated from Sandy Spring High School in Atlanta and completed her Music Education degree at Texas Christian University and the University of Puget Sound. Linda was a published author and filmmaker, an accomplished ballroom dancer, and a talented singer. She loved the beach and she loved to travel. She was a member of the Herndon Town Square Singers and the TrebleClef chorus, and was a long time member of P.E.O., a philanthropic womens' organization. Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman Hoff of Herndon, VA, and two sons, Kevan Hoff of Jacksonville, FL and Andrew Hoff of Los Angeles, CA. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Paula Byrd of Paso Robles, CA, and her brother Roy Hoffman of San Diego, CA, as well as a rapidly growing extended family of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Floris United Methodist Church, Monday, Feb 2. with viewing at 12pm and service at 1pm. Future interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the P.E.O.'s Cottey College for Women, 1000 West Austin Blvd, Nevada, MO 64772.
