Obituary of Candis Robeson Richardson

Candis Robeson Richardson, 64-years-old, passed away on January 31, 2015 with loved ones by her side in Ashburn, Virginia. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, Candis lived a vibrant, holistic, and healthy life. While born in Providence, Rhode Island, Candis grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and later went on to Ferrum College in Ferrum, Virginia where she met her husband of thirty-four years, the late Jack E. Richardson. Daughter of the late Lacy M. Robeson and late Rachel W. Robeson, Candis' love of the beach brought her to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, where she relocated in 2005. Candis is survived by her children, Jack E. Richardson, Jr. of Potomac Falls, Virginia and Melanie R. Dixon of Ashburn, Virginia - and will forever be remembered as devoted, silly, and loving "GMom" to grandchildren Maithe Marshall, Kayleigh Dixon, and Owen Dixon. A celebration in memory of Candis will be scheduled in the spring in OBX. In lieu of flowers, remembrances and acknowledgements, may be sent in Candis' honor to the Outer Banks Community Foundation, a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need in the Outer Banks.
