On a visit to Mrs.Simms I will always remember the day and things Mrs. Enid Simms said to me after my asking her what were the secrets to why she had lived such a long life. You told me the answers were #1 To know God and keep him close to you and in your heart at all times. #2 To love mankind and to treat everyone with love and kindness; to do good by all people. #3 To always have forgiveness for all those who you feel has wronged you. To not be bitter inside and to only allow love to take the place of any and all bitterness. Mrs. Simms, on that day your words brought tears to my eyes, as I knew that all you had shared not only touched my heart, but that you were right and that you were so humble to share that with me. You went on to quote biblabical scriptures that spoke on the very things you had shared with me about living and being good to others; You told me that the biggest part of all was to learn and to know God and to do his will.
I will miss you Mrs. Simms, I will miss seeing you month to month, Yes...I will miss you. I already miss you.
I'm so blessed to have gotten to be a part of your life; your sweet quite and gentle ways. Your cute laugh and all the wisdom you have shared and given me through the years. You will always be in my heart; in my memories. I Love you always. Rest now...you can because God is with you and your in his good loving care.
