Glenn Andrew Nicoll Glenn Andrew Nicoll, 69, of Herndon, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015, at Reston Hospital Center. Glenn was born September 20, 1945, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania to Clarence and Charlotte (Carnegie) Nicoll. He served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a decorated Vietnam War veteran. During his career in the Air Force he served as a communications specialist onboard Air Force One. He retired as a Master Sergeant and went on to earn bachelors and masters degrees in computer science from Park University. He had a second career in defense contracting and retired only a few years before his passing. On February 14, 1975, he married Irene Tuck on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and started a family with her three daughters. He was predeceased by Irene in 2001. On December 7, 2007, he married Florence DiGiacinto in Herndon and expanded his family to include her two daughters and son. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with his children and six grandchildren. He was a regular fixture at their sporting events. He also enjoyed politics, fishing, riding his motorcycle and going to the horse races. Glenn is survived by his wife Florence; his siblings Dale Nicoll of Indiana, PA, and Bertha Rixner of Charleston, WV; his children, Celeste Chopra of Reston, VA; Brenda Griffin and her husband Tim of Annandale, VA; Diane Craig and her husband Dylan of Demarest, NJ; Michele Buisch and her husband Richard of Clifton, VA; Lisa Holliday and her husband Dustin of Glendale, AZ; Michael DiGiacinto and his husband Kyson Bunthuwong of San Jose, CA; his nephew Chris Nicoll and his wife Holly of Chantilly, VA; and six grandchildren and many other loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Charlotte, and his wife Irene Tuck Nicoll in 2001, and siblings Robert Nicoll, Peggy Simpson, George Nicoll and Kenny Nicoll. A viewing will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Sunday, February 15 at Adams-Green Funeral Home721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. A celebration of life service will follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Phil Holliday will be officiating. He will be interred at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
