Obituary of Michael T. Ventrelli

Michael T. Ventrelli, 67 of Oak Hill, VA passed away Friday, March 6, 2015, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital surrounded by his wife of 20 years and his sons after a 14-year battle with heart disease. Michael was the beloved husband of Bridget Kelly Ventrelli; devoted father of Matthew and James. Michael spent his life doting on and loving his family. Son of the late Frank and Maerose Ventrelli, brother of Lynda Green and Mary Rose Angrisano (John); brother-in-law of Colleen Carbonari (Bob), Patrick Kelly and the late Peggy Clifford (Ed). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rosie, the family Golden Retriever, will miss Michael sorely along with the extra nibbles he would slip her. Michael was born December 5, 1947 in Queens, NY. He was a member of Chaminade High School class of 1966. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Adelphi University. After graduating, he worked for Sperry, which subsequently became Lockheed Martin. He retired with more than 39 years of service. Michael will be remembered dearly by the many families who participated in the CYA basketball and baseball programs; and the Board of Directors and neighbors in the Chantilly Highlands community. The Ventrelli family are members of St. Veronica Catholic Church. Michael served tirelessly as a volunteer there, touched many lives and gained much comfort in serving Our Lord in the Adoration Chapel. Those who knew Michael were truly blessed with him touching their lives.The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, at ADAMS-GREEN Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA 20170. A Funeral Mass will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at St. Veronica Catholic Church, 3460-B Centreville Rd., Chantilly, VA 20151. Rosary will precede at 3:30 pm. A reception will be held in the Parish Hall following the service. Interment private.
