From 1967 to 1978, Dr. Lyle Adams was a mentor and a friend. He challenged us with his calm and deliberate manner to be genuine honest people of faith. He had opinions but allowed you to have yours and if yours weren't the same he didn't treat you any different. He was always fair yet demanding as a prof and compassionate as a pastor. It seemed that his schedule was always packed with activity that was important and life changing for many people and he always had time to read books that were on the cutting edge. His sermons were always clear and provocative and he encouraged us all to live out our faith rather than merely talk about it. I know God used him as a force to change lives as he himself was changed into the image if Christ, and now he sees clearly. My condolences to the family members that have experienced his loss but my greatest encouragement for his long expected and anticipated reward. Thank you Pastor Adams for a life lived well, and please enter into your reward to the glory of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Bob Phelps

Love and sympathy to Lyle's family and friends at the loss of this great man. God truly knows the impact upon so many lives, and so many saints living and dead who walk with Him, as the fruit of the life and ministry of dear Pastor Adams. Jody and Brian Mathias, Salisbury, MD

My memories of Lyle are more than a pastor, he was a personal friend, before I even met him, I called the Trinity church on Middlebelt for a ride to church for me and my four young children. He sent, Margret, who was gracious and kind enough to come and get us. It was the beginning of a long friendship. They made me feel welcome and our children, too.
I think everyone was comfortable with Lyle, although he was educated far beyond most of us, there was never anything stilted about him. He was one of the first persons to come to our house, when our son, David, died, to comfort us. I think his attitude was one of the prime reasons that, my husband, Jack wasnt afraid to accept the call to the ministry.
I remember his laughing response to our son, Jim's, antics as he was growing up.
He set a great example for all who knew him. His daughter and son in law are following in the footsteps of their parents and I am sure he was pleased with them.
May God Bless his family and comfort them, knowing that he has entered God's Peace.
