Obituary of Rita Claire Donohue

Rita C. Donohue, 77, of Reston, VA, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Reston Hospital in Virginia. Born on June 20, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rita was the daughter of the late Matthew Paul Cook and the late Mary Elizabeth Cloonan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert. She is survived by her brothers Matt and Larry; their wives Claire and Barb; sister-in-law Betty; children Patti, Chris, Ann, and Mollie; daughter-in-law Crystal, grandchildren Jennifer, Christopher, Michael, Madison, Chloe, Cooper, Caitlyn, and Carson; and many wonderful neighbors. Graduated from Seton Hill College in 1959 as a Dietician, Rita was an active community member, an avid sports fan, and an enthusiastic book reader. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to charity. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Adams Green Funeral Home in Herndon, VA. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Reston, VA with Father Tom Murphy officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Saint Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Munhall, Pennsylvania.
