My special bond with Erin began as neighbors with dogs. We would baby-sit, walk and care for each others animals, and spend hours at the dog park trying to wear our babies out. Sierra and Scooter always played so well together and I felt like Erin and Sierra were extended family. When Erin lost Sierra for a bit - the dog community of Oakton pulled together and we found her!! That shared trauma showed me the depth of a person's love. Erin was willing to do anything for the safe return of her baby - her rescue pup - her loyal companion. She was willing to go the distance for those she loved, those who mattered and it showed. I will always cherish our walks, talks, laughs, confessions, and shared sorrows. Erin was honest with her emotions and her strength allowed others to be honest around her. I hope I can carry on this gift from her whenever I need to share my story. I loved her as a friend, a sister, a daughter, and will always miss her. I hope to see you again and continue our talks. Rest in the arms of God my dear. Barbara Kenney 5-15-15
