Deeply saddened finding out about Linda passing away. I haven't been in touch with Linda for many years, but she has always held a special place in my heart. I wrote this poem in memory of my dear sister whom I miss and love so very much!
White Diamonds
Childhood reflections, bonds created from the start
Unique in your ways with no apologies to impart
Back in the day, coming up on the farm
I looked up to you…daring, but meaning no harm
I followed as if your shadow, wanting to be by your side
You led me to the man who would make me his bride
White Diamonds wasn't just a fragrance you wore
It epitomizes the brilliance of your giving heart we adore
You gave birth to only one to whom more love you could not have shown
Yet "mothered" so many others as if they were your own
Your door always open, your menu ala carte
You fulfilled whatever the need and did if from the heart
Loud, spirited, fun, a perfectionist
Four letter words, a punch in the chest
Tenacious, expensive, heart of gold
Stubborn, take-charge, radiant and bold
Beautiful, caring, a rare priceless gem
Loved ones expressing what you mean to them
Some bad life choices brought you down
Clipped your wings and you fluttered around
Not rising again, not leaving the ground
No suffering or sickness, no not even pain
Eluded peaceful sleep you have found once again
Your life here with us has come to an end
But your legacy lives on through your family and friends
We share photos that keep love yet it be unspoken
Where death cannot touch and hearts cannot be broken
The times in them are forever frozen still
We want you to live on and through these you always will
Our lives are forever changed by having been blessed
To be loved by you while you were here on your quest

My Sister.. My Friend.. How does one go on when they lose someone without warning way too soon..?? As I am sadden by you leaving I am blessed to have had you as my sister, my friend.. People always said we were so much alike it hurts my heart so much now like my twin is gone.You were always there for everyone. The go to person, with all the answers.Where do I go now?? I am happy and sad at the same time. Happy you are with Jesus, Dad and Grandmother with no more pain. Sad that we will no longer have our talks or our fights. The other night I cried to think how alone and cold (you hated being cold) that you must be feeling, and than remember your already in heaven looking down on me. I miss you soooo much already, I missed you the minute I knew you were gone, Becky couldnt get the words out.. I love you so very much, just wish we had had more time. God needed you more. Rest now My sweet sister, you are a real Angel now.. kisses will see you soon..
