Born on May 15, 1944 in Durham, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Bishop WC Smith and the late Evangelist Beatrice Ramsey Garland. In addition, to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Emanuel Timmons III; sister, Carol Ann Bailey and brother, William C. Smith. Jeanette loved and enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. She delighted in having a cup of coffee and watching the children play in her neighborhood. Before her illness, Jeanette was a nurse's aide at Sleepy Hollow Nursing Home. She rededicated her life to God in October of 1997. She later joined Chantilly Baptist Church as well as the choir in 2004. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, watching General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, shopping, and making her famous smothered pork chops for Sunday dinners and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, William Kenny James; step father Samuel Garland, mother-in law Jean Richardson, sisters Chanel Garland, Tenisha Garland, Doris S. Cohan and brother-in-law Gerald Cohan, Carolyn Bolding, Diane Jones Day, children, Consuela Jordan, Lacy Warren and son-in-law Tony Warren, Anthony Timmons and daughter-in-law Carmen Timmons, Gwendolyn Timmons, Bernadette Timmons and son-in-law Dion Savoy; grandchildren, Acqua Warren, Stefhan Timmons, Anise Baldi, Leon Carter, Whitney Warren, Christopher Timmons, Kevin Tucker, Taz Timmons, Genevious Timmons, DiondreĢ Savoy, Sterling Timmons, Jonathan Timmons, Mia Savoy, Brittany Timmons; and great-grandchildren, Janeah Gamarra, Chayla Timmons, La'Veah Warren, Isiah Timmons and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
