Obituary of Karin Bridgette Genavaro

Karin was born October 26, 1945 in Ruhla East Germany to Rudolph and Lucy (Buchwald) Schlöffel . Who preceded her in death. At age an early age, she moved to Ober Mörlen in West Germany. Karin grew up in Bad Nauheim (at the period when Elvis was stationed in Friedberg near Ober Mörlen) and attended the Leoba Gymnasium for girls in Bad Nauheim. As a teenager Karin moved with her mother Lucy and step father Cornelius to Curacao, South America. Later they moved to Alexandria, VA USA, where she attended Groveton High School. Karin spoke 5 languages at the time. From age 5 , Karin developed a love of books. She would spend summer days in the library reading. All throughout her life she read and owned 100's of books. It was her favorite pass time. Karin was a sporty girl and used to go ice skating with her mother and Uncle Rheinhold. As a teenager / young adult she loved drag racing and cars. She had a love for life and loved to have fun. As an adult she worked for Safeway Stores in Dale City and was working towards management. Karin LOVED animals. In her later years she volunteered for a Beagle Rescue in NJ and went on to adopt her beloved dog Rocky. Karin had 7 children , 15 Grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren Children-( 5 boys and 2 girls) : John Vorst (Nicole), Phillip 'Dan' Quick Jr. (Vicky) Deborah Santos, Melvin Clark Jr. (Theresa), Anthony Clark, Jason Clark and Elizabeth Kasiski Grandchildren - John Vorst Jr. (Jessica), Christopher Vorst (Cynthia), Jennifer Vorst (John), Andrea Hall (Steve), Natasha Quick, Rick Bodine (Laura) , Kristin Bodine , Apollos Santos (Shadi) , Josh Clark, Justin Clark, Jamie Clark, Jake Clark, Ben Clark, Alexandria Clark, Karli Kasiski Rick Alan Bodine Jr (P'nut) and Kyle Babcock, who preceded her in death. Delilah Vorst, Christopher Vorst Jr. Justin Babcock, Lucas Worley, Kailee Hall, Niko Hall, Alex Hall, Ayden Quick , Ava Quick, Liam Quick, Amiyah Bodine, Brantley Bodine, Leila Santos. Karin has many beloved relatives in Germany and Canada to include : Andrea Zimmer (cousin) her Aunt Heidi (whom preceded her in death) her Aunt Erna and her Aunt Agit . Uncle Reinhold Buchwald (wife Joy, ) cousins Heidi and Erika Half Brother -Joachim Schlöffel ( wife Petra) and nieces Sandra ) Schlöffel Meyer and Tina Schlöffel
