Kyle Robert Mathers, Dec 14, 1995 - Aug 7, 2015 of Herndon, VA Kyle died suddenly in a horrendous auto accident in Texas while en route to a video game convention with several close friends. He is survived by his mother Cynthia Ruthenberg, step-father Thomas Ruthenberg, father Richard Mathers, sister, Riley, brother Connor, step-sister Katie, step-brother Sam, grandparents Robert and Kathryn Brown and step-grandmother Peggy Mathers, Uncle Keith Brown, Aunt Lisa Brown, cousins Robby, Carmen, Faith, William, and Benjamin, Uncle Ed Mathers, Aunt Lisa Mathers, cousin Trevor Mathers, uncle William Mathers and cousins Daniel and Sean Mathers. Kyle was a 2014 graduate of Herndon High School, where he was active in the Pride of Herndon marching band, Jazz band, First Robotics Team 116, and Drama Club Pit Crew. He was a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troops 1570 and 1577. Currently a student at Northern Virginia Community College, his community activities included organizing the Pride of Herndon Marching Band Relay for Life Team, and leading their fundraising efforts. He was very active with the Trinity Presbyterian Youth. He also played with the Herndon Regional Wind Ensemble and the NOVA Jazz Ensemble.
