Lead On For Us, Sweet Cardara! A rare creature made in and blessed in heaven has just left us. Sadly for the moment, yes, briefly gone but soon to be back together again with all of us Pilar M. Lopez ,79, warmly remembered as "Cardara" to most of those who came close enough to her, and dearly beloved wife of Monching Lopez passed away peacefully September 4th to the deserved rewards awaiting her. First stricken by Parkinson's in 2005, she fought hard to continue her mission of love and affection till she succumbed to a series of kidney infections and a final bout of pneumonia. Many will remember her, as her immediate loved ones particularly remember her, as a true repository of generously given and received love, as a gentle and lovely lady whose obvious beauty combined the best shades of spirituality and earthbound humility. In life, her grief-burdened husband Monching, children Veronica, Ruth, Katherine and Christian, children-in-law Orlando, Daniel, Abdul and Mary-Ann, grandchildren Philip, Matthew, Ammar, Bashar, Anfal, Jasser, Fatma, Christina, Fletcher and Stephanie, and recent great-grandchildren, Cardara takes the cake in perfectly demonstrating the art and skills of raising a whole brood from scattering in all directions. In effect, she was the policing authority who made sure we were kept on the right path to our ultimate destinations. What else can we say? Tell us in the guestbook area.
