Obituary of Margaret Mae Williams

Margaret "Peggy" Mae Williams, 89, a longtime resident of Herndon, VA passed away of natural causes on Monday, September 7, 2015 at Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation. Born on June 15, 1926 in Mansfield, Ohio she was the daughter of the late John Walery and the late Naomi Packham Walery. In 1949 Margaret joined the United States Marine Corp where she served until 1951. She later settled down and started a family. In 1970 Margaret started a career in civil service with the Department of Agriculture where she spent the next 25 years; retiring in 1995. Margaret was a passionate Washington Redskins fan and loved collecting Owls amassing dozens of figurines, pictures, stuffed animals, and ornaments all depicting owls in one form or another. She was a warm compassionate person who brought joy to the lives she touched. Peggy, as her friends called her, is now in a better place watching down on those that knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Stacie Adams (Vincent Cody) of Warrenton, VA, Terri Jobson (David) of Herndon, VA and Ron Williams (Chanrey) of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren, Ashleigh Adams, Samantha Adams, Chhourm Williams, Shon Williams, Austin Jobson, Katherine Jobson, and Colby Williams; great-grandchildren, Nolan Anderson, Aidan Rath, and Miles Anderson; and her brothers, George Helsel (Sandra) and Harry Helsel (Debbie). A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Adams-Green Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Wildlife Federation.
