Obituary of Eleonore Eva Althausen

Eleonore Eva Althausen passed away in her Reston home on September 19, 2015. Eleonore, known as Lore, was born in Vienna, Austria and moved to the United States in 1959 with her soon to be husband, Walter Althausen. Lore embraced her new home and spent many years guiding tours of Washington DC. Lore was a long term resident of Reston and worked as a librarian at the Reston library. She was preceded by her husband Walter and daughter Lisa DiNunzio. She is survived by her grandchildren, Alexa DiNunzio and Christian DiNunzio, as well as a vast number of friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her. Plans for a memorial service have not been finalized.
