I am very troubled and sad to discover that one of my best friends at St. John the Baptist HS has gone to meet his maker before his time. I spent time at the Sabbatino household in Copaigue NY several times and remember their kindness as well. So many fun times we shared and mischief we got into. I still have a scar on my index finger from a prank we pulled off with another friend in 1969. I remember that although with the very Italian name Tony Sabbatino he was actually 3/4 Irish! I remember his 1966 Olds 442 that he bought from Syl. I left SJB after 11th grade and we lost touch. Even after 50 years I cherish our friendship and miss Tony. So sorry for all he loved and those who loved him, but we’ll all meet again sometime in a better place.
