Obituary of Lalita Jadhav
Please share a memory of Lalita to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On October 8th, 2015, after a brief but brave battle with cancer, Mrs. Lalita S. Jadhav, age 50, passed away at Reston Hospital in Reston, Virginia with close family and friends at her bedside.
Lalita was born on July 6th, 1965 in a small town called Banka, in the state of Bihar, India. After migrating to USA with her family at a tender age of twelve, she attended Olathe High School in Olathe, Kansas. She then went to The University of Kansas, Lawrence, where she got her Bachelors degree in Biology.
Lawrence, Kansas had a very special place in Lalita's heart. There she not only met the love of her life and husband Sanjiv, but with her gentle, loving and kind nature, she won over many friends whom she remained close to. Lalita always spoke fondly about her life, memories and friends from Lawrence, KS.
After her marriage with Sanjiv, they moved to Overland Park, KS for the next 16 years. With her always smiling face, she cultivated many new friends there, and hosted them in countless get-togethers at her house. Her house was a central gathering place for all the friends in Overland Park, KS.
In 2000, she gave birth to her beautiful twin daughters Aishwarya and Ruma. For the last 15 years, she was a very loving and caring mother to them; her whole life revolved around them. Due to Sanjiv's Job situation, even in his absence, she often shouldered the responsibility of raising them alone. She successfully raised them to be smart, witty, independent, smart and loving young girls. She made sure that they become well rounded by supporting them in their activities and studies.
Lalita loved to cook, and she was great at it. She also liked music, Indian clothes, and dancing, but most of all she loved to make quality friends and enjoy their company. Hence, it was not a surprise that when they moved to Reston, Virginia, with her ability to connect easily with like minded personalities, she continued to make quality friends. Throughout her life it was her single best trait that she could make long-lasting, quality friends. In her last days in ICU, those loyal friends remained with her, at her bedside.
It is also important to mention here that for the last 25 years, she took great care of her elderly mother in law. She treated her as if she was her own mother, for which she should be commended.
Lalita was just bereaved of her mother Prema Kashyap last year. Lalita left behind her husband Sanjiv, daughters Aishwarya and Ruma, father Dr. Banshiprasad Kashyap, uncle and aunt Dr. Bhola Kashyap and Dr.Usha Kashyap, sisters Sunita Parikh and Nandita Mehra, and brothers Vijay and Jitendra Kashyap.
Another life cut too short by cancer. May God rest Lalita's soul in peace.
Lalita, you will be dearly missed from our life. We will always cherish your memories
Sanjiv, Aishwarya and Ruma Jadhav,
Entire Jadhav and Kashyap family,
And all the great friends of Lalita and Sanjiv…
