Deepest Sympathy to Paul's family! I recall the first day he arrived at USGS (The Program Budget Office in the Director's Office). He was intelligent and a very hard worker. More importantly, he was a caring and good man. Rest in peace Paul!

So saddened to hear of Paul's passing. My sincere condolences to the family. Paul took me under his wing while I was on detail many, many years ago and helped me navigate the uncharted routes at Headquarters. For ever after, I considered him one of my best friends. I've always had the deepest respect for him and loved his sense of humor. I'll miss you Paul.

I'm so very saddened to hear about Paul's passing. He was a great mentor and friend to me and many others when we were getting started in our government careers. His breadth and depth of program knowledge was beyond compare. His accomplishments in his career gave him the gravitas to speak with authority, but he never let his triumphs go to his head. He was always willing to share and teach us in the next generation of leaders. And his sense of humor was absolutely side-splitting. Great man. He will sorely be missed by his friends and colleagues.

Terribly saddened at this news, my deepest sympathies to all close to Paul. I had the chance to work with Paul on several issues at USGS, and have admired ever since his knowledge, capabilities, willingness to help others, and his sense of humor. Truly, one could ask for nothing more in a colleague.
