Obituary of Mary Ann Eckenrod

Mary Ann Eckenrod, 87, of Herndon, VA, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Sunrise of Reston. Born on November 7, 1928 in Chattanooga, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Joseph Edward Bradford and the late Alice Hayes Bradford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton C. French; her second husband, William E. Eckenrod; son, Brian C. French; step-son, Patrick Eckenrod; and her brothers, Joseph Edward Bradford Jr. and Clyde Bradford. Mary Ann was a practicing registered nurse for over 30 years at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga. She began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse and spent the last few years in Oncology caring for terminally ill patients. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish in Chattanooga and the St. Joseph's Parish in Herndon when she moved to Virginia in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy French Warrick and her husband, Richard, of Herndon, VA; step-son, Michael Eckenrod and his wife, Lisa, of Cullman, AL; grandchildren, Rachel Warrick, Ethan Warrick and Katie Eckenrod Stipes; and sister Evelyn Joyce Noffsinger. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish in Chattanooga.
