I remember working with Althea in the Air Route Traffic Control Center in Leesburg. When I met her, she was working as supervisor in the Flight Data section, and I was a meteorologist in the section next to Flight Data. I really liked Althea, she was friendly and talkative, and always dressed nicely and carried herself with grace. And she was all-inclusive, accepting all types of people as friends, and treating them with respect. We even communicated occasionally after her retirement (and now I'm retired also). Sorry to find out about her passing; she will be missed.

My darling Thea was my other Mother. I loved and cherished her dearly. She was such a sweet soul and had a big heart. We worked at FAA in Leesburg and continued our friendship throughout the years. We enjoyed spending time together eating, laughing, dancing and talking. I will miss her dearly.

I love you and miss you with all my heart. You have been the best mother a daughter could ask for. I maybe your only biological daughter but you have hundreds more who call you Mom, Mama, Nanny, Thea, Auntie, and Cousin.

I am sorry for your loss. Losing a mother in death is such a difficult thing to experience. When my mother died I was comforted by the promises in the Bible. At John 5:28,29 Jesus tells us that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones again one day. Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask God to bless you and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time.
