Obituary of Arlene Patricia Dorothy McFarlin

In Loving Memory Arlene Patricia Dorothy McFarlin Nov. 26, 1944 - Dec. 7, 2015 Reston, Virginia - Arlene Patricia Dorothy McFarlin (maiden name Blair), 71, passed away on Monday, Dec. 7, at Reston Hospital, surrounded by family. Arlene was born on Nov. 26, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. A mother of five, she was most proud of her family, including, but not limited to, her children, her husband and her siblings. She enjoyed helping others, notably serving for several years as a nurse at Prince William Hospital. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Helen Blair, and her husband, John McFarlin. She is survived by five children - Scott, Chris, Matt, Katie and Daniel - and five grandchildren - Michael, Nicholas, Anthony, Dean and Jillian - as well as her brother, Jim Blair of Ossining, New York, and her sister, Deborah Kamins, of Herndon, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Manassas, Virginia, on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at 11 a.m.
