Although I don't believe we've met, Joan, please accept my heartfelt condolences nonetheless. Richard and I ran track together at Central High School and were both in Howard's AFROTC program after that, so I was really saddened when a friend sent me the newspaper obituary article that announced his passing. May God and your 52 years of memories comfort you during this trying time. Also, would you kindly help me reconnect with your brother-in-law, Barraud, as I lost contact with him too since Howard days. Thank you and sorrowfully, Bob Carpenter rcarpenter@ismdev.com (914) 664-2605

I am sorry for your loss. Losing a husband is such a difficult thing to experience. Please be comforted by the promises in the Bible. At John 5:28, 29 Jesus tells us that all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. What a loving provision put in place by the God of all comfort so we can have the assured hope of seeing our dead loved ones live again one day. Meanwhile as I pray for that day to come I ask God to bless your family and give each of you the strength to endure this most trying time.
