Ornella and I were next door neighbors while she lived at Thoreau Place. She was a good, kind woman, always helping others in the community. She was very devoted to her family, helping out whenever she could. We shared so many interests. We would visit each other's homes and spend hours knitting and talking politics and religion!! She was extrememely intelligent and very concerned about social justice, as am I. She loved plant and animal life and art - all beauty. And we both loved to read. We traded books and she would loan me books from the school for my grandchildren. She will be sorely missed ! It was a privilege and a blessing to know her.
