Obituary of Lucille Y. Taylor

Lucille Yvette Taylor, age 70, died of ovarian cancer on Monday, February 2, 2016, at her home in Herndon, VA, with her family by her side. She was born on August 14, 1945 in Springfield, MA to the late Jeannette Gagnon Blouin and Jules Blouin. She was the beloved wife of Dennis George Taylor, who died on May 2, 2005. Lucille was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA, class of 1963, and Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. She first came to the Washington, DC area in 1965 to work as an administrative assistant for the federal government. She obtained her real estate license in 1983 and has since worked for Town and Country and Weichert Realtors. She enjoyed reading, knitting, spending time on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and being in the company of her family and friends, all of whom will miss her greatly. She is survived by her son, Christian George Taylor, of Herndon, VA; daughter Kathryn Naomi Taylor, of Reston, VA; and her three brothers, Roland J. Blouin, of Palmer, MA, Joseph R. Blouin of Springfield, MA, and Victor R. Blouin of Ducanville, TX. Her sister Shirley Blouin Trumble of Springfield, MA passed away on October 31, 2013. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 11, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 750 Peachtree Street, Herndon, VA 20170. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucille's name can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, 14 Penn Plaza, Suite 1710, New York, NY 10122.
