Obituary of Robert Benjamin Wolfe

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Wolfe was born in Norfolk, Virginia, but he grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. His family eventually moved north to Arlington, Virginia back in 1955. Bob graduated from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington and soon was married. And from this short marriage he had one daughter, Robyn Lynn. Bob's work career started at Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) in DC, but he was also finishing his college credits through the University of Virginia. While at PEPCO, Bob met and married Joyce Ann Mills of Arlington, VA. With his UVA degree, Bob eventually went to work at the MITRE Corporation as its Manager of Purchasing, and then he moved to the National Wildlife Federation as its Director of Procurement from which he eventually retired. But Bob was not finished with work. He then dived into his family's business as the general contractor for the renovation of a historic home in Harrisonburg, VA. He converted it into a Bed & Breakfast with its companion restaurant ~ The Joshua Wilton House became a most successful property. Bob leaves his wife of over four decades, Joyce Ann, two brothers: D. Lisle Moore of Arlington, VA and Craig W. Moore of Linville, VA. In addition, there is his daughter Robyn Lynn David of Harpers Ferry, WV and three grandchildren: Melanie Lancaster, Garrett David and Gabrielle David; as well as three great-grandchildren: Madelyn, Olivia and Jaxson Lancaster. He loved to hunt and he loved his Redskins. For decades he was one of those loud voices from stands cheering on the team. His love of history got him started on his never ending genealogy research that took him back generations finding many fascinating tid-bits of history and family lore. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
