I've known Donna since we were both very young since she was a best friend to one of my sisters & my husband has known her since we met. He actually taught her how to drive. We were both very saddened to hear of her passing - seemed so unreal - but we'll always think of her fondly. Our heart felt condolences go out to the entire Schofield family. May the good Lord look over you and help you through these difficult times.

Donna was a wonderful person whom I had the pleasure of working with for last 8 years. She was kind and helpful and her smile lit up the room. I can almost speak on behalf of the whole Radiology department at Reston that everyone loved her. She had the warmth and caring attitude and was always willing to step in to help. She was a proud mother of two daughters who spoke highly about them. She was happy that Megan and Jillian were doing so well in their lives. She adored her grandkids and shared pictures of them all the time. You could see the joy of being a grandma in her eyes and how happy it made her. I enjoyed talking to her as there was always that motherly love and guidance in those conversations. You will be truly missed!!!

Very saddened by the news of Donna's passing. We are next door neighbors. We've only been neighbors a short time, but I will only remember her smile and happy personality. Especially when her children and grandchildren were around. May our prayers go to her husband and children in this time of need. Sadly, Wendy and Antonio

I am so saddened by the loss of Donna. She was such a kind and thoughtful person. Donna had the ability to recognize who needed a friend, and then make us feel welcome and accepted. I will miss Donna's sense of humor and wonderful smile, but most of all I will miss her friendship.

Donna Marie Kinn, 60, beloved wife of Gerald J. Kinn went to be with our Lord, Friday, February 26, at The Adler Center with family by her side, after brief and courageous battle with breast cancer.
Donna was born in Fürstenfeldbruck, Germany on December 4, 1955, to Sara B. Schofield and the late Captain Donald F. Schofield. She spent her childhood and young adult life in Rome, NY, where she met and married her husband. After moving to Nashua, NH Donna and her husband were active in their daughters activities especially Megan's ballet dance performances in The Nutcracker and Jillian's High School Marching Band. In Donna's spare time, she was an active Tupperware consultant.
In May 2006, Donna completed her dream and graduated from Rivier University with a B.S. in Business Administration. After her graduation, Donna worked at the University in the Public Relations department. In 2007, she moved to Northern Virginia. Donna worked at Reston Hospital in the Radiology department, where she was known for keeping her colleagues supplied with sweet treats. She was an active participant in the Arthur Murray Dance Studio where she and her husband Jerry enjoyed many hours waltzing and spending time with wonderful friends.
In addition to her husband of 34 years, Donna is survived by her daughters , Megan E. Knox (Brett), Jillian M. Singleton (Ethan), her two grandchildren, Colin and Taylor, her mother, siblings, Mary N. Thayer (Scott), John J. Schofield (Janet), Maria T. DeCotis (Anthony), and "Swiss daughter" Catherine Frei Lawler. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends to whom she devoted her time and love. Donna will be profoundly missed by all.

My heart goes out to Donna's family and I can only imagine how much she will be missed. Donna loved her family deeply and always smiled when she told stories about them, but her "blessings" came in the form of her prescious grand children. Donna's love is a huge part of who her family is. You will see her every day in the mannerisms or a look from her daughters, or a certain smile that will just appear on one of the babies. You will see that she is still with you when you find yourself saying or doing something just like she did. You are such a lucky family to have had such love and kindness from Donna while she was here with us. She may be gone, but she will be carried in our hearts forever.
