Katharine Marie Thompson 61, of Ashburn, VA, passed away on, March 9, 2016 in Falls Church, Va. Born on November 29, 1954 in Washington, D.C. she was the daughter of the late William M. Thompson and the late Mary Frances Meade . In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Thompson and her son Jason David Thompson. Raised in McClean, Virginia, Katharine graduated from McClean High School. She was an avid equestrian since childhood. Active in the Friends of Rabbits organization. For much of her career she worked as a fraud investigator at Washington Federal Bank. In later years she was sales coordinator for Titan Concrete. She is survived by her husband, David Martin Snodgrass, and her sons, David Snodgrass of Ashburn, Virginia and William Allen Snodgrass of Dublin, Ireland. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on March 13, 2016 at Adams Green Funeral Home 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on March 14, 2016 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, Virginia.
