Obituary of Shirley Ann Attebury

Shirley Ann Harris Attebury went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2016 at the Reston Hospital Center in Reston, Virginia, due to pneumonia. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on October 3, 1935 to the late Daniel and Ruth Harris of Conway, Arkansas, but considered her home to be San Antonio, Texas. Shirley attended Baylor University where she received a degree in Music. She earned a Master's in Music, while raising her children.  In her 80 years of life, she loved others, she loved her family, and she loved her Savior. Her passions included music, bridge, and going to the beach. Shirley believed that her children were her greatest accomplishment.  She is survived by her daughter Ruth (Mark), son John (Sharon), grandchildren James, David (Hollie), Rachel, & Taylor, great-grandson Henry, brother William Harris, and former spouse John Attebury.   She was preceded in death by her son Theodore and brother Frederick.  Memorial service will be held at Grace Fellowship, 32445 US Highway 281 North, Bulverde, TX 78163, at 10:30 a.m. on April 23, 2016.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
