There are many memories that my family and I have of "Nanny". She was known, in the neighborhood as Mama Theresa. When she willingly agreed to watch our daughter, as an infant, she declared that she should be called "Nanny" so as not to confuse Ashley with her grandmother. However, she was more of a grandmother to our children than their real one.
She was unfailingly devoted, patient and loving with Ashley and Ian. Her care of them gave Doug and me such comfort.
We were truly blessed to have Nanny in our lives.
