Obituary of Kenneth Wayne Kerns

Kenneth W. Kerns, 47, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Herndon, VA, passed away at his home on April 10, 2016 Born on February 27, 1969 in Leesburg, VA. He was the son of Sue Allan Killian and the late Lewis Henry Kerns. Kenny grew up in Herndon. He played all sports but excelled in baseball. Kenny graduated from Herndon High School. He was previously employed by the Herndon Department of Public Works. Kenny was an avid Redskins, NASCAR, and baseball fan. He is survived by his mother, Sue Killian of Sterling, VA, his sister, Renee Austin of Front Royal, VA, and his daughter, Sidney Kent of Manassas, VA. And numerous other family members. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Adams Green Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Herndon Optimist Youth Baseball.
