Ray was truly a great friend and a consummate professional. We traveled together often and Ray was known and admired by many people during his travels. He always had a kind word for people he knew and strangers that he met. We had worked together for many years professionally, but also had many things in common based on our similar upbringing. Although, I am not quite as fond of "Hank" as Ray was, I still enjoyed listening to his Country and Western music during our frequent car rides. He also introduced me to "Larry the Cable Guy" which resulted in many mutual laughs. Although Ray traveled often, he was always talking about his family and he ended up treating people he met during his travels as his extended family. He managed to find the best in everyone he met. Ray will truly be missed by all those who were lucky enough to have spent any time with him and he will be fondly remembered as one of the really "good guys" who has accomplished so much in a very quiet way.
