Obituary of Sushila Devi Sachdeva

Sushila Sachdeva was born on February 18, 1930, and passed away on April 25, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramesh Chander Sachdeva, her son-in-law, Jatinder Kumar Baboota, and some of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her youngest sister, Kamla Sethi, three daughters, Shashi Prabha Baboota, Chander Prabha Varma (h. Uppinder Varma), and Neeru Anand (h. Trivan Anand), as well as six grandchildren, Deepa, Kavita, Amit, Atul, Natasha, and Kabir, and one great-granddaughter, Ariana.
She came to the Washington, DC area in 1965, and returned to India in 1969. In 1996, she, along with her husband, returned once again to the DC area, this time on a permanent basis, to live with her daughters and their families.
She was a sweet, loving, and caring individual, and her presence will be sorely missed.
