Mary Virginia Cordray Neiderer, 87, of Reston, VA, formerly of Ebensburg, PA was born to eternal life on May 18, 2016.  Mary was born to this world on February 5, 1929 in Upper Darby, PA to Mr. Richard Edmund Cordray of Galveston, TX and Mrs. Jessie Mann Graves Cordray of South Bend, IN.  Preceded in death by brother Richard Ellsworth Cordray of Huntsville, AL and survived by brother Daniel Edmund Cordray of Media, PA.  Mary was preceded in death by husband Earl Francis Neiderer of Hanover, PA and daughter Sue Frances Neiderer of Ebensburg, PA.  She is survived by daughters Ann Neiderer Franck of Ocala, FL, Joan Neiderer Beacham of Reston, VA, Carol Neiderer Cardona of Reston, VA, as well as sons Gregory Neiderer of West Chester, PA and John Neiderer of Lynchburg, VA.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Rachel Franck Irby, Andrew James Franck, Hugh Franck, Ricardo Neiderer, Mario Neiderer, James Beacham, Christopher Beacham, Emily Beacham, Valerie Beacham, Andrew Neiderer, Jacob Neiderer and Russell Cardona as well as 2 great grandchildren: Bryson and Alina Irby. She graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Trinity College and a M.S. in Library Science from Catholic University of America, both located in Washington, DC. She married Earl Neiderer on November 15, 1954 in Beirut, Lebanon before living in Amman, Jordan. She returned with Earl to Harrisburg, PA in 1956 and moved to Ebensburg in 1960 where she and Earl raised their 6 children until Earl's death in 1988.  She relocated to Reston in 1992.  Mary worked as a librarian for Sun Oil in Philadelphia and for Torrance State Hospital in Blairsville, PA interrupting her career for her children. Mary was a considerate and accepting mother and friend who believed children should play in the Ebensburg woods rather than watch TV. She was a voracious reader of the NYT, the Post and PD James. Mary enjoyed preschoolers and their sense of wonder, a house at 62⁰F, introducing middle schoolers to NPR and white Buick Regals.   She was a good listener offering few but thoughtful suggestions and helped those in need out of their jams.  Her children are truly grateful she was their mom and will always miss her. A mass of Christian burial will occur on Saturday August 13 at 10:30 AM at Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, 500 N Julian Street,  Ebensburg, PA, www.holynameebg.org with internment immediately thereafter at Holy Name Cemetery.  A visitation with the family will occur on Friday August 12 from 6 to 8 PM at Askew-Houser Funeral Home, 300 N Julian Street, Ebensburg, PA, www.askew-houser.com.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her honor to Trinity Washington University, 125 Michigan Ave. NE, Washington, DC 20017 www.trinitydc.edu.
