Obituary of Robert Anthony Serveiss

Robert Serveiss, 93, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Thursday May 19. A mass and gathering was held on May 25 at 3:00pm at St. Thomas a’ Becket Church in Reston, VA.   Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery and we await notification of the date of the burial.  Besides his family, Bob’s proudest achievement was instructing over 1000 airplane gunners to contribute to the United States victory in World War II.  Mr. Serveiss was a service technician and service manager for over 30 years for a business machine company in Queens, New York. He retired in 1978 to spend time with his wife and take many trips to visit her family in Italy. He lived at Lake Anne Fellowship House in Reston for the past 24 years. Bob was a talented photographer and developed many magnificent photo albums of his family, friends, military service, and trips to Italy.  He also spent much of his time helping his family and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans or Easter Seals
