I wish to express my sorrow and extend my condolences to Bob's family. I was one of Bob's fairly new Saturday watercolor classmates. Bob's wonderful talent as an artist was readily apparent. His dedication to detail and his patience in executing his paintings, revealed truly a draftsmanship of the highest quality. And the subject matter he seemed to have preferred at times have often gotten me thinking that I was looking at a Monet panting. I will miss Bob. Rest in peace my fellow artist. Larry. Kamlot

I have been in art classes with Bob for close to 20 years. He always had his own point of view and artistic methods. He generously provided all his classmates with calendars of his paintings each year. I have always hung these in my office and many, many have asked about the artist. My deepest sympathy and condolences to his family whom he loved dearly and talked about often.

Bob was a talented artist and a warm and friendly soul. His painstaking realist paintings were an inspiration to us all. I will treasure the calendars depicting his paintings that he gave to me and others each year. I have saved them all. It was a distinct pleasure to have Bob in our art class. He will be sorely missed but his spirit will live on as we gather to share our joy of creating art.

I two knew Bob from Peter Ulrich's Saturday morning watercolor class. I haven't taken that class for a couple of years now but I can clearly see Bob parked in his corner working on his detailed paintings. He had his own style, a slow deliberate way of approaching his paintings. But the results always bore out his approach. I was always impressed with the calendars and Bob made each year for his family and friends, I still have several of them, they're just not the kind of thing that you can throw out like a store-bought calendar.
Bob was a fixture in the class. A lot of students come and go, but Bob was there - year in and year out. Working on his paintings, always with a friendly smile and a story or two about his family. We watercolor artists are a lot like family. We share our art and our stories and our time with each other. And we will certainly miss Bob. My condolences to his family and friends.

Bob was a wonderful friend at Peter's watercolor class on Saturday mornings. We often chatted about a variety of things--his beautiful paintings, his insightful photographs from his many travels, my latest problems with my current painting, his French class, and always his love of his family.
Bob was a gifted, realist painter of landscapes, architecture, portraits, and animals were among his many subjects--most of which were based on his own, beautiful photography. He was a patient, dedicated painter who often spent weeks on very detailed paintings. We, his classmates, were often amazed by and always impressed with his beautiful paintings. He also was always willing to help classmates who asked with advice on how to achieve their vision for their own paintings or how to fix the latest painting crisis. He was a happy, upbeat presence in class who had many friends.
Bob's love of his family shone through any conversation I had with him. He often mentioned how priviledged he was to have his wife in his life. And he really lit up when he talked about his grandchildren...they were always his favorite subject. He would eagerly anticipate his trips to see them for weeks, then share little stories about them when he returned. I am very sad that his family has been deprived of his loving presence.
I am also sad that we will no longer have Bob's bright, happy contenance in class, be able to benefit from his advice or be inspired by his intricate, wonderful paintings. I will miss my friend, as will our class. Watercolor class will not be the same without him. The world is a lesser place for his loss. God rest his soul in peace.

Bob was a wonderful, thoughtful, generous, gentle soul who will be sorely missed by his family and friends . I send my deepest condolences to his wife and family. He was a delightful person to know. I will miss our frequent chats at watercolor class. I attended a watercolor class that Bob attended. Bob did wonderful, realist landscapes, portraits and animal paintings that always amazed and impressed his classmates. He always made time to help classmates with their paintings when asked. He was also a gifted photographer. He used them as subject matter for his paintings. Bob created calendars from his paintings each year that he shared with us. May God be with his family in this time of loss.
