The staff of Mantua Elementary was shocked and saddened today to learn of the loss of our friend and colleague, Sheila Cronin. Sheila cared deeply about her work and despite her illness still managed to support certain aspects of the Mantua library from her home. She was a kind and caring librarian who has given many of our students a love of literature. We will miss her!

Michael: I offer my sincere sympathy on the loss of your mother. Through the years she was my boss, my mentor and my friend. I will miss all our book talks and our breakfast/lunches at Manhatten Bagel. She was always so very proud of you! She will live on in your life through loving memories. Michael - Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mother. I was privileged to call your Mom a friend for more than 30 years. We shared ups and downs and little adventures along the way. Throughout our long friendship, your Mom was always a constant support and great listener. She was a remarkable woman - intelligent, caring, opinionated and a great cook! I will miss her tremendously. Ed and I would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to you and your entire family at the time of great sorrow.

Michael, My sincere sympathy for the loss of your mother. Although, I was an Instructional Assistant with a Library Science degree, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with your mother the first year she came to work at Mantua School Library. In spite of my deafness, your mother was always pleasant with me and made work fun! Throughout the years, we became friends and shared our family stories and discussed children books. I will miss her! My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

Dear Michael-I cannot express the sadness I feel over the loss of your mother and my dear friend. She was a kind gentle teacher loved by all who had he privilege of knowing her. Sheila was a nurturing soul with a great sense of humor who shared her love of art, books, cooking and wine. Under her calm presence was an adventurer, whether rafting down the Colorado River, exploring the alleys of Istanbul or teaching me to drive a stick shift. Above all, was her love for you. She was a part of my life and that of my family for over thirty years. She will be in our hearts for as long as we live.
