Obituary of Alyce Marie Auth

Alyce Marie Auth, of Sterling, Virginia, passed away on Thursday June 2, 2016. Born on January 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Clara and Andrew Kasper of Hazelton, PA. Alyce earned her nursing degree from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Allentown, PA. After marriage, Alyce worked as a registered nurse at Arlington Hospital in Arlington, Virginia and later worked as an agency and hospice nurse in Northern Virginia. Her hobbies included collecting seashells from around the world, counted cross-stitch, custom stamp creation and spending time with her beloved extended family. Alyce was particularly fond of visiting the ocean and enjoying it's majesty and bounty. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Velasquez, son-in-law Robert Velasquez, granddaughter Addyson Velasquez and husband William Auth. The family will receive friends from 6PM until 8PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Adams Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10AM Friday, June 10, 2016 at St. John Bosco Church in Sugarloaf, PA. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Drums, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, www.lymphoma.org.
