Obituary of William Irvin Miller

William “Bill” I Miller Jr., 84, formerly of Bolivar, PA died on Friday, June 17th, 2016 at his home in Herndon, VA.
He was born on December 19, 1931 in Bolivar and graduated from Bolivar High School. He was married to Jean Lear for 66 years. Bill worked at the Bolivar Foundry and Machine Company until 1974, and then moved to Florida and later Georgia with his career as a personnel manager and safety coordinator for Flav-o-Rich Dairy. Bill pursued many interests and hobbies including woodworking, gem cutting, painting, story writing, and enjoyed country music and Cowboy poetry. He was an active member in the Methodist church and a leader of the United Methodist Men. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Past Master of the Blairsville Lodge.
Bill was preceded in death by his son William Tracy Miller. He is survived by his wife Jean, daughter-in-law Amy, and grandsons Brent and Justin Miller, and Justin’s wife Natalie. Additionally he is survived by his sisters Lois and Judy, and numerous nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
A memorial service will be held at the Robinson Evangelical United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at 11:30 a.m.
