Glen R. Trautner, 54, of Sterling, VA, passed away on June 19, 2016. Devoted husband to Patricia and their two beautiful daughters, Allison and Kristin, Glen lost his decades long battle with brain tumors. Glen graduated from Park View High School in 1980 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. After 6 years as both a crew chief and Air Traffic Controller, he separated and began his career with the Federal Aviation Administration where he retired in 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Dolores E. and Rudy C. Trautner. He is survived by his wife, daughters, and his brothers Jeffrey and Wayne. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Herndon, VA. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on June 25, 2016, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Pastor Kleiber and Reverend Steven Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Sterling Cemetery.
