Obituary of Scott Eric Magerer

Scott Eric Magerer, a life-long businessman and resident of Orlando, FL, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the age of 51 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The beloved husband of Bonnie Gisriel-Magerer, they shared 14 years of marriage together. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 9, 1965, he was the son of Lawrence and Sylvia Magerer. He attended Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland. He welcomed his son, Justin Andrew, 24, on September 16, 1991. On March 22, 2002, he married the love of his life, Bonnie. March 14, 2008, Bonnie and Scott welcomed Makenzie Myree. Scott was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend. He enjoyed scuba diving, underwater photography skiing, travelling, the Washington Redskins and spending time with friends and family. At a young age, he started running his own businesses and showcasing his entrepreneurial skills. Starting with a paper route, he segued to disc-jockeying at the age of 16. In the following decades, he developed his brand and showcased his charisma as the founder of Entertainment Connection. He went out of his way to help others, sharing stories and laughs everywhere he went. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Scott is survived by his mother, Sylvia Magerer; his wife, Bonnie Magerer (Gisriel); his children, Justin and Makenzie; his brothers, Michael (Lorrie) and Mark Magerer; parents-in-law, Stan and Carolyn Gisriel, sisters-in-law, Kathy Fraser (Russell); nieces, Jennifer Magerer, Ashley Kenny (Shayne) and Rosie Fraser; and nephew, Matthew Fraser. He is predeceased by his father, Lawrence Magerer; and his grandmother, Frances Levin. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 8th from 6:00-8:00pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home located at 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia 20170. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 9th from 6-9pm at Redskin Park, 21300 Redskin Park Dr. Ashburn, VA. . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association at www.donatenow.heart.org or Luke’s Wings at www.lukeswings.org.
