Obituary of Stacey Lee Lindblad

Please share a memory of Stacey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Stacey Lee Lindblad, 45, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and teacher passed peacefully during the early morning of July 1, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Stacey is survived by her wife Dana Bowman, her children Emily and Matthew Lindblad, step-children Hannah and Paige Bowman, parents Phil and Linda Belcher, siblings Kelly Young, Laura Belcher, Austin Belcher, aunt Terry Alderman, three nieces and two nephews. Stacey’s kind and gentle spirit was magnetic. She was always smiling, laughing, lending a hand, or teaching - sometimes all at once. Those of us who had the privilege of knowing her, have nothing but sweet memories and funny stories. The students who were fortunate enough to be taught by Stacey will remember her dedication and commitment to their success. Stacey was an extraordinary woman who left her mark on this world. Thank you to all who visited, called, sent texts, posted messages, and made donations. Your outpouring of love and support was a blessing to her family. Please join them in a celebration of Stacey’s remarkable life on Friday, July 8, 2016 at 3:00pm. Please join the family for a reception immediately following the service at: Christian Fellowship Church 21673 Beaumeade Cir, Ashburn, VA 20147 Enter through Door 300 Rather than the traditional black, the family asks that you wear bright colors or Stacey’s favorite color purple (not lavender) to remember the brightness that Stacey brought to this world. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Stacey’s name to Seneca Ridge Middle School for their science garden. Stacey’s classes worked in preparation for this garden this past school year and planting will begin in September. Checks may be mailed to Seneca Ridge Middle School, 98 Seneca Ridge Drive, Sterling, VA 20164 with Stacey’s name in the memo portion. All donations will be used for planting and future upkeep of the garden.
