Obituary of Oliver Graham Ferguson

Oliver Graham Ferguson, 86, of, Ormond Beach, FL was called to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at Potomac Falls, VA. 

 Born on August 26, 1929, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Philip Burleigh and Margaret Stout Ferguson. He leaves his beloved wife of 52 years, Muriel Hamilton Ferguson, and four children: Oliver Graham Ferguson, III and his wife, April, of Ormond Beach, FL, Thomas Gregory Ferguson, of Potomac Falls, VA, Kimberly Ferguson Blair and her husband Terrence, of Reston, VA, Clarke Gibson Ferguson and his fiancée Emmie McMackin of Alexandria, VA and precious grandchildren: Sean and Olivia Ferguson, Abigail and Savannah Blair. He was a graduate of The Renouard Institute of Mortuary Science, New York, NY and attended Northwestern University in Evansville, IN for Advanced Mortuary Education. He then served a tour of duty with the US Army in Korea, 1950, and was honorably discharged in 1952 with the Purple Heart Medal for Bravery. He became Vice-President of the Ferguson-Wood Funeral Home in Oakland, PA, a family business started by his Grandfather, Oliver Graham Ferguson, in 1884. He retired to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 1969. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Adams Green Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Central, 499 NW 27th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
