Obituary of Michael Francis Kane

Michael F. Kane Retired from TSA On July 11, 2016, Michael Kane, 66, died from complications of pancreatic cancer. Mr. Kane was a lifelong resident of the DC Metro area, born in Washington, DC. After growing up in Langley Park, MD Mr. Kane graduated from Georgetown University in 1976. Following college, Mr. Kane worked as a superintendent for Ryan Homes, Vienna, VA. In 1981 he began a 31 year career in the local automobile business working as a Sales Manager and Commercial Truck Salesman for Koon’s Ford, 7 Corners and Sterling, VA. He also worked for Ourisman World of Ford, Alexandria, VA and with Jerrys Leesburg Ford, Leesburg, VA. He retired from the car business in 2011 and began working for TSA, Dulles Airport, VA as a Transportation Security Officer. He was avid SCUBA diver and once co-owned Ski & Dive scuba in Chantilly, VA. He is survived by his wife, Christine K. Kane of Sterling, VA. He is also survived by his adopted daughter, Diane K. Wake of Falls Church, VA, her mother Brenda Walker of Hamilton, VA; and his third previous wife, Carol Kane of California. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Adams-Green Funeral Home. The family requests that any donations be sent to The American Cancer Society.
