Dear Genny and family,
I am very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was a good colleague and friend to me at Liberian Services/International Registries and I have many fond memories of him. Even after he retired when he came into the office we always found time to talk. He was a great guy and always hsppy to share his knowledge.

Bill was my very first friend when we moved to Great Falls in 1995. We met at Gillette's Coffee Shop. He was so welcoming with such a great sense of humor. I looked forward to the next set of "hot stock tips" he would share the next time we met. He introduced me to the Amadeus Concerts. Somehow I ended up serving on the Board of Directors. I'm still not sure how he maneuvered that.....
I admired his service as a Captain in the U.S. Navy. He had a long and dedicated career. His stories were very touching, especially his Vietnam days.
Oh well what else can I say, fabulous memories of a fabulous person and dear friend!
God bless you Bill. I will always treasure our friendship.

I was sorry to resd of Bill's passing. I first met him and Genny when I was researching my book on crime at sea and he was suggested to me as a likely resource. This he most certainly was and both The Brutal Seas and more recently the updated Terror at Sea drew substantially on his lifetime of experience.Besides in many other ways, his legacy lives on throughout many pages of the books.
It is fitting that his service will be with full honours and that he will be laid to rest at Arlington. What a distinguished career!
I wish I could be present but being based on the Isle of Man, this is not really practical.
Sincere condolences to all the family from me and from my wife Bridget who also came to know both Bill and Genny.

Bill Chadwick was my my respected and admired boyhood friend and we maintained that friendship through the years. He was an American patriot and served his country well and faithfully commencing with his service as a Sailor on the battleship USS Texas during WWII and ending with his retirement a a Captain in the US Navy. Our paths crossed many times after high school and those were good times I will always remember. Bill was honest, straightforward and a leader as a boy and as an adult. He set the example for us all.. It was my good fortune to have had Bill Chadwick as my friend and comrade.

We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was the true personification of an officer and a gentleman. More than that, however, he was a friend and mentor to all with whom he cam in contact. He will be missed within our community and far beyond.
